Who We Help

GeriScope focuses on the part of life most people don’t talk about until they have to—when aging loved ones start slowing down, medications multiply, and every appointment comes with new instructions.

It’s the stage where families start coordinating rides, handling finances, and worrying about falls or memory lapses all while trying to make sense of what doctors, insurers, and aides are saying.

How We Help

That’s where GeriScope fits. By educating senior caregivers on how to communicate what’s taking place outside the office into the exam room, we help healthcare teams deliver more well-informed diagnoses and recommendations that meet elderly needs and everyone’s desire to know and do better.

Hi, I'm Cindy Davis

Founder and Author

Like many family caregivers, I didn’t plan for this role—events demanded my attention. Between raising my son and running a business, I became the point person for my parents’ care, navigating hospitalizations, home care, and the most common challenges encountered in life’s last chapters. I saw firsthand how scattered, incorrect, or jargon filled senior care information was and how much time it took to piece everything together so I could act.

Professionally, I’ve spent years working at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business strategy and operations—helping entrepreneurs, executives, and consumers make and carry out difficult decisions.

During the pandemic, I realized what was missing—a roadmap for everything family caregivers manage outside the doctor’s office: taking away the car keys, choosing the right senior housing and help, downsizing, planning for dying and death, and processing grief. Something like What to Expect When You’re Expecting did for new parents—but for the realities at the other end of life.

That’s how GeriScope began. A guide that helps family caregivers grow more capable, professionals work more efficiently, and everyone align on what aging loved ones truly want from their care.

What They Say

When Cindy presented her GeriScope model to our audience of multigenerational women, they knew they had found a valuable resource. Her THRIVE webinar was one of our most well attended with more than a quarter of the participants staying for a lively Q&A discussion. We’re working on a second one to dive deeper into popular topics.

Our Mission

You’re caring for someone who once cared for you. It’s hard to know what to ask, what to expect, or what comes next. GeriScope helps you make sense of it all—turning research, real experience, and practical tools into guidance you can use right now. We show you how to communicate what’s happening at home so healthcare teams can respond with the right support.

Our Vision

We’re helping to build a reality where family caregivers walk into appointments prepared, confident, and heard. Healthcare teams listen, respond, and collaborate. Older adults receive care that fits their needs and values. The system works because everyone finally speaks the same language of care.

What is GeriScope?

You’re in the rough seas of elderly caregiving—trying to stay afloat through appointments, medications, and daily demands. The overwhelming waves come faster than you can catch your breath. That’s when you reach for a GeriScope.

Like a periscope in deep water, a GeriScope gives perspective on what’s going on and what’s ahead—the common challenges caregivers most often face and doctors are most often asked about: when to stop driving, how to downsize belongings, is it time to move or renovate, who to trust for help, how to talk about end-of-life wishes, what to do in a crisis, should you consider hospice care, what happens after death, and how to process loss of loved one.

GeriScope brings these moments into focus. For family caregivers, you can download digital guides for where you are in the journey and what’s coming next. And for healthcare providers, you can share these same guides with patients and families—helping them chart their path through the challenges that fall outside medical care but shape every outcome.

What does GeriScope mean?

Geri comes from geriatric—the stage of life when independence fades and daily life takes more coordination, care, and courage.

Scope means to see—to step back, spot the patterns, and understand what’s really going on.

Together, they form GeriScope—a way to see the real-world challenges of growing older and the support it takes to live well.
